Mini Haul @ 2/1/10

Bought these from fellow LYN member mushr00m. I already have the Pontiac Firebird, but it was years ago, and the condition is not entirely great. As for the Ford Focus, I already have a blue color one. I love the Hot Bird's tempos, as it is very bright and sharp. Although the card labels the Hot Bird as a Hot Bird, the base of the car states it's a Pontiac Firebird. Cool. The green Firebird 400 is a loose car I also bought from him. It seems, that now I may buy some more muscle cars and uncard them. The coolest car, to me, is the one he RAOK-ed, which is the Horseplay. Personally, I'm not very much into HW Original cars, but this one is just cool. The body of the car is transparent, and so is the wheels.

Tomica Evo X vs Hot Wheels Evo X

Here, I am comparing the Hot Wheels and Tomica Evo X. Which one is better? You guys be the judge.

From these pics, you'll notice that the Hot Wheels' rear bumper is sharper than the Tomica's one, which is a little too "soft".

From the front end, the Tomica's headlights are either painted on, or not painted, depending on variant. As for the Hot Wheels Evo X, it is a separate piece.

The Hot Wheels has bigger wheels when compared to the Tomica.

Notice how the Tomica does not paint the rear foglights and does not have the Mitsubishi logo on the boot. And the lights aren't exactly accurate.

Another rear shot. Notice how the Hot Wheels' rear spoiler protrudes out more than the Tomica's. It also seems "sharper" than the Tomica's.

Up close front shot. I do think that the Hot Wheels Evo X is a bit more aggressive, although they're both the same car. :p

The Hot Wheels Evo X, from here, has a sharper front when compared to the Tomica Evo X.

So which one would I pick? It would definitely be the Hot Wheels, as overall, it's a better car.

Tomica Limited Nissan GT-R SpecV

Got this one as it was being unpacked. Price was ridiculous - RM29.90. Sigh. But luckily the details are very good. On Tomica's prototype model, the rims were the normal GT-R type, but luckily the production models were the actual SpecV rims.

Featured Car -> Back Slider

The Back Slider is a 2010 New Model. MB and Jada already has similar vehicle carriers. For for this post, I'll be focusing on only the Back Slider.

Here's the beauty. fyi, there's no interior, and that's just a chrome piece.

Here it comes.
It managed to find its way up, no problems.
What a nice fit.

Recommended for those who wants to transport their cars from places to places. lol. The grooves at the back of the bed prevents any cars on top of it from sliding down.

Haul @ 23/1/10

Found these from a nearby shopping complex.Regular 2010 T Hunt '69 Ford Torino Talladega

And the same one, but this one is a $uper. Can't believe my luck to find both at the same place. I bet this would be a must get for lots of collectors.

The Cadillac CTS-V. Been waiting for these for a very long time already. So I didn't hesitate to take 3 of 'em. Very sharp casting of one of my favorite cars.
These were also found. The Riley&Scott MKIII is a LeMans car that looks very sweet as well, but the jewel here is the Dodge Charger Drift car. The original Dodge Charger SRT8 from Hot Wheels was a disappointment, as it was just too fat, and plump. The Matchbox Dodge Charger was so much better. And with the new casting, this one can match MB's Charger. Sweet !

Petronas Haul @ 18/1/10

On the way back to campus, stopped by a Petronas along the NSE to try out my luck.

Found these two. FTE '09 Corvette ZR1 and a Modified Rides '09 DD. Yeah, this is my first DD, and hoping to get more in a near future. Fellow collectors have noted that the price at Petronas was RM8.50 to RM8.70, but I managed to get these for RM6.50 each. Decent catch to start off 2010 with some 2009 cars. lol
